Just a note for anyone who might be able to make use of this info.
People keep wondering how to light their film without expensive lighting but I have an answer.
If you work in, or have friends in, theatre you have access to a wonderous source of lights. Theatre lanterns come in many shapes and sizes and as long as you remember to borrow an alpha-pack too, you can take them where you want them.
The reason I say friend is that approaching the theatre as an outsider will normally lead to your hiring them, while some theatres will let their staff borrow lamps for a couple of days. (I am thinking fringe rather than West End/Broadway)
